John Dunnett, Senior Pastor
John joined the First Baptist Church New Glasgow team in August 2016 and serves at the Lead Pastor. He comes with 16 years of youth ministry experience from Union Street Baptist, Lewisville Baptist, Kennebecasis Baptist and as the CBAC Youth Ministry Person. He has 17 years in the lead role at Port Williams Baptist, Second Baptist Chipman and Kennebecasis Baptist prior to coming to New Glasgow.
John has a desire to see people come to know Christ and to grow in their relationship with Him. He has a passion for helping people experience God and see His fingerprints on their daily life. He wants people to walk this journey of life and faith with the living saviour, Jesus Christ. “Real communication through prayer and a daily intake of God’s word are essential to a healthy spiritual life.”
Family life with his wife, Marilyn and grown children Ben and Sarah is a great joy of John. “There is no learning lab like a good home.”
Educationally John is a graduate of Bathurst High School, Atlantic Baptist College, Mount Allison University (BA Psychology) and Acadia Divinity College (Masters of Divinity). “The formal education that laid a platform for a life time of learning”
In his spare time John enjoys golf, watching sports of all kinds, and Strat-o-matic Baseball.
Natasha Davidson, Pastor of Children and Family Ministries
Natasha joined the First Baptist Church New Glasgow team in September 2017 and serves at Pastor of Children’s and Families Ministries. She originally grew up in Wolfville, NS.
Natasha has a desire to see young people come to know Christ and to grow in their relationship with Him. She has passion for helping people discover their identity in Christ and seeing them take hold of their identity moving forward in their walk with Jesus. She sees ministry as a journey that we walk beside one another on and puts a high value on relationships and growing together.
Before coming to First, Natasha graduated from Kingswood University in Sussex, NB with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education with a major in Christian Counselling and from Acadia Divinity College with a Masters of Divinity with a specialization in Youth Ministry.
In her spare time Natasha loves board games, reading a good book, crocheting, and loves travelling to new places.
